It is lovely to lounge for hours in one of Hörnum’s two-seater basketwork beach chairs, but what if you suddenly get the urge to be active? No problem: there are plenty of opportunities!

You can swim in the refreshing North Sea, or if you fancy a little sailing it is easy to embark from Hörnum. Or if you’d rather stay on land, there are fantastic paths on Sylt for cycling, Nordic Walking or just going for a stroll. For golfers there is the 18 hole links golf course, established in 2008 and unique of its kind in Germany.
Last but not least, Hörnum offers children and youngsters a host of fun activities including beach soccer and beach volleyball.
