One of the island’s cultural highlights is the five week Hörnum Musical and Theatre Summer Festival. For the last four years Hörnum’s Tourism Service has turned its hall into a stage for professional actors and budding performers. With maximum seating for 70, the space has an intimate ambience in which you will hardly need opera glasses to enjoy every subtle gesture and facial expression.
Theatre director Stephan Hoffstadt has produced successful musical comedies exclusively for Hörnum, and now brings the hit revue „Hossa“ to the venue in 2012, with a cast of professional actors and musicians drawn from TV and musical theatre. Über 200 Kunstwerke von 40 zeitge-nössischen Künstlern sind am 26. April zu bestaunen.
Mit dem Bau des Sanitärgebäudes wird im September begonnen.
In Hörnum werden ab Mitte April rund 823.000 m³ Sand aufgespült.
